Endometriosis music video???

The very first music video for endometriosis has been released!  Written by the actress who starred in it.  She was once told that she would never be an actress.  Due to her appearance.  Which is caused by her condition.  Initially I was shocked, having seen this video months ago.  I was confused and had no idea it was inspired by her struggles with endometriosis.  It's difficult to perceive it that way because of how the video was directed.  However, I understand it and respect it.  You all know how I feel about our "endo bellies".  I empathize with her, because I was teased a child by crazy adults.  Even if I was slim, I always had a chubby face and a fat belly.  Due to the endo.  It's kind of silly for people,to bring up others peoples appearance if it isn't a compliment.  I can relate to this day.  Now I realize the people who make those comments are battling their own issues.  They intentionally make people feel bad, because of whatever issues their battling.  Check out her video here:http://youtu.be/qUQV7uS0BtM

A band-aid for my soul....

My coping mechanisms have evolved over time.  In the beginning,  I'd wonder why me?  Why now?  Continuously wondering what it would be like if I wasn't faced with these health challenges.  Overtime I realized that even if I didn't have endometriosis.  That life would still have its challenges.  I also needed to remind myself of my goals and how blessed I am to still be able to attain them.
In order to gain some content, I have to be careful what I consume.  Not only when it pertains to food,  but the music I listen too.  The shows I watch, the books I read.  Everything has a purpose.  I had to realign.  Rediscovring the healing power of music.  While beginning to notice how the music in our society doesn't have a place for queens.  Only "bad bitches".   I began to listen to uplifting music for my spirit.  Songs that make you feel whole.  A band-aid for my soul... My favorite artist is Erykah Badu. The creator of neo-soul.  A fusion of r&b, jazz, and the blues.  Most people only know her by, "Tyrone".  Yet "on and on", "Ye-ye, "didn't chat know", "apple tree", spoke to me in profound ways.  She hypnotizes you by singing sweetly to your soul. Incorporating tuning forks, pianos, and percussions into her songs.  Badu is a known healer, who studied both the arts and alternative medicine.  No wonder her music makes me feel so good.  She will indefinitely be in my top favorite artists.

Organic sunshine burgers (plant based) Two recipes!

I thought I'd never be able to eat a burger again. Once I gave up meat for good.  These were bought for me by one of the few people who genuinely cares about my dietary needs and medical condition.   They are by a brand called Sunshine.  A plant based burger.  I have prepared them on the grill and in a skillet.  I added a little pepper, pink salt, garlic powder, turmeric, mustard powder, paprika, and cooked them with a tablespoon of dairy free butter.  Paired with fresh guacamole, daiya (dairy & soy free cheese), sautéed mushrooms, and a toasted local fresh baked bun.  Another time, I made some mashed potatoes, mushrooms, & gravy.  Both meals were delicious!  I recommend these to anyone who can and is willing to try them! Best veggie burger I've had!

My daily breakfast

I usually start my mornings with a light snack.  Since the fall season has come, I've been able to enjoy a variety of melons.  Personal melons are convienient.  A light, quick, easy way to break my fast.

That simple, delicious meal is complete.

Daiya Mac n Cheese

Finding healthy versions of my childhood favorite has gotten easier.  Daiya mac n cheese quickly filled that void.  I've made it from scratch using their cheese in the past.  The on in this post is an instant style. Directions are as follows on the box.  I added in a few on my favorite spices.  Garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, & Himalayan salt.

An apple tree

While out,  I noticed a nice apple tree.  It was in the lot next to the place I was.  I couldn't help but pick a few to bring home. Below are the photos of them.
Once I got home, and washed a few off to try.  I had to ask a few of my followers, had they ever seen such small apples.  Just to be sure.  As they were not much larger than a cherry.  When I took a bite, it was extremely sour.  It has a lemon lime taste, similar to a Granny Smith.  Yet, a lot more sour.  I wasn't upset.  I was just happy to come across an apple tree.  Without having to go the the orchard.  I wish I lived somewhere a tad warmer.  So there would a variety of free fresh a fruit to choose from.  Until then, the farmers market will have to do...

Farmers Market Haul

The local farmers market has a huge variety of produce!  That is always local and fresh.  Due to the weather where i live,  you have to go while the weather is still decent.  Here's my haul from the farmers market.
