Yogurt replacement?

Recently I was speaking with a friend who's really getting into her health. She mentioned that makes smoothies often. Which is a great thing. Yet, when she told me the ingredients and and that she'd be experiencing a stomach ache. I couldn't hep but confirm what her mother thought. Being that she is an endometriosis sufferer.  Which causes her to be lactose intolerant.  She was using almond milk, but wasn't aware that Greek yogurt was still dairy. Even though it comes from a goat, it's still has the same effects as cow yogurt and other dairy products.
It's a mistake that I made years back. When trying to do the endometriosis diet.  I'm happy that she is aware now.  For all my sisters searching for an alternative.  There's coyo, a coconut based yogurt. In the U.S. Our brand is so delicious.  Also try almond yogurt, by almond dream.  They bother are really good.  Taste better than normal yogurt.  They do not have a nutty flavor either.  Give them a try!

Quick ginger shots! No juicer involved!

Using a mortar and pestle, grind ginger down to a pulp. Quick and simple. Make ginger shots on the go. Or even to add to juices. By far this is my favorite quick way to make ginger shots.  Can even be substituted with wheat grass.

*Ginger is great for the digestive system. As well as killing cancer cells

Dairy, Soy, & Egg Free Ranch Dressing

As you all know, I have various limitations when it comes to food. Ranch dressing was among those things. Until I discovered Daiya products. Walking down the aisle in an organic store, it stood out on the shelf.  It's been so many years since I've had ranch, that I thought I saw a unicorn.  Lol.  If you or a loved one has dairy, soy, or egg allergies, I highly recommend this item.

Local Farm Haul

While heading home, my parents came across a local farm. Naturally they stopped in. To satisfy their curiousity. They retrieved me some local yellow watermelon. Also a dozen fresh picked peaches. All of which were grown in Michigan.

Horror story: Moldy tampon

Woman visits her gynecologist to see if she had an infection. The gynecologic pathology department discovered that she had mold in her vagina and cervix. The young woman contacted the company.  Which sent her an apologetic letter. Basically stating that this can occur from time to time with their products. 😳

Spelt pasta

This dinner was inspired by a holistic Doctor.  He goes by the name of Dr. sebi.  Spelt, is one of the foods he does recommended.  Although he wouldn't approve of the broccoli (Sebi is very particular about what he believes to be hybrid foods, lol).
This quick easy and delicious spelt pasta was accompanied by broccoli. Then drizzled with a cashew, Daiya cheese sauce.

Lychee

As you all know, my summer affair with exotic fruits grows with each year. This year I was finally able to experience lychee.  A wild, Asian berry. That is also a member of the soapberry family. Which tastes really similar to the rambutan.  Only the seed in this is much more bitter. My taste buds were not disappointed with the ripe lychee overall though.
